MINOR UPDATE ON J.I. STATUS :
I get emails every once in awhile asking when I'm going to do some more music. Most of what I do now is focused on Foamy The Squirrel. I'd rather be working on some lighthearted and funny music rather than be lamenting over issues that aren't actively torturing me. Most of the music created was done from a certain perspective and it was something that needed to be expressed. Right now I don't want to bitch and moan in musical form unless it's going to make someone laugh. So most of what I do from here on in will be showcased in the Neurotically Yours cartoon. .

FREE CDS DELAYED :
I tried getting all the free cds out to various record stores but got kinda tied up with all the Foamy stuff happening. So it'll take a few extra days. I'll do a post here as to when they were sent out and when they are expected to arrive along with a lost of the stores they were shipped to.

RANDOM CD FREEBIES :
I've always been a fan of going around to the local record stores and sometimes getting a free promotional sampler or demo tape from an indie musician. So in the spirit of getting free music.... the old school way... I've decided to send out about 90% of the remaining Jonathan Ian CDs to random indie-record stores around the United States. I will try to have these all shipped out by the 9th of August, So they will be available in random local record shopes mid-August.... probably around the 20th or so. Happy Hunting!.

"VI" Released on iTUNES:
The sixth album by Jonathan Ian is officially on iTUNES. Since this is probably going to be the last album I put out, who knows when I'll update this site again. So for those who actually enjoyed the music, thanks for the kind words. For those more interested in the Foamy thing, no worries there. That's not going to slow up anytime soon.

"Primitive Sounds : The Early Recordings" Released:
The last of the "almost lost" recordings from Jonathan Ian have been put together in a compilation of rarities & demos. There will be no official CD release for this album, it's available only for download. These recordings are pretty rough and are made available for those hard-core collector types that like to get those weird little snapshots into the mind of a developing artist. So enjoy!.

To my surprise, iTunes got the ball rolling on the 4 new EPs a lot quicker than expected. So they're all available for download.

On All Things CD:
Since most people these days download their music from iTunes or another digital music store, CDs have become kinda... obsolete. Personally, I like 'em, but that's besides the point. Anyway, what I decided to do is make the Jonathan Ian CDs limited editions. So each Jonathan Ian CD will only have a few copies pressed, then they will only be available as digital downloads. The limited numbers will go something like this:

Jonathan Ian : I : 500 Copies Pressed
Jonathan Ian : II : 500 Copies Pressed
Jonathan Ian : III : 1,000 Copies Pressed
Jonathan Ian : IV : 1,000 Copies Pressed
Jonathan Ian : V : Digital Download Only
Jonathan Ian : VI : Digital Download Only

Jonathan Ian : Beyond Me EP : Digital Download Only!
Jonathan Ian : A Beaten Look About You EP : Digital Download Only!
Jonathan Ian : Kill Yourself EP : Digital Download Only!
Jonathan Ian : You Don't Need That EP : Digital Download Only!

So you CD collectors out there best be getting' your hands on these now, so, you know... you can charge people $800 dollars for them on Ebay 5 years from now. What an investment! You greedy money grubbing music hoarders..... anyway....

The Foamy CDs will be kept in print as long as possible. I know Foamy's wisdom spreads across many age groups, and those of you who are older and don't care for digital downloads, you'll still be able to purchase Foamy on a fabulous piece of circular plastic. At least for awhile. Eventually even some of the Foamy CDs will go out of print. So brace yourself ye of technological stupidity... it's all gonna go digital at some point. Yeah, I hate it too.
